The Anatomy of Rain
Deep Sadness (சோகம்) — English
It doesn’t hit you like a sudden storm,
Or leave a wreckage that is clear in form.
It’s just the quiet draining of the light,
A steady creeping of the heavy night.
You learn to wear a smile to play the part,
To shield the winter of a broken heart.
Hoping the shadows on the empty wall
Won’t notice that you have no strength at all.
