Shadows of Want
Deep Desires (ஆசை) — English
We buy the heavy trinkets of the town,
To weigh our shifting, restless spirits down.
But all the heart desires in the end,
Is the simple presence of a trusted friend.
A quiet porch, a cup of steaming tea,
A stretch of hours completely wild and free.
Before the winter takes our transient breath,
And locks our simple hungers into death.
