The Simplest Want
Deep Desires (ஆசை) — English
It isn’t for the gold or the grand applause I pray,
Nor for a name that echoes past my dying day.
Just a quiet corner in a rain-drenched coastal town,
Where the frantic machinery of the world slows down.
To read an old book with you without a clock’s tight race,
And see the calm, unburdened look upon your face.
A hunger for a peaceful, unrecorded stream,
Before the sand of time dissolves our final dream.
