The Burning Hearth

Deep Anger (கோபம்) — English

Do not mistake my quietness for peace,
Or think the storm inside has found release.
I am only measuring the words I owe,
To the betrayals you thought I’d never know.
The bridges are burnt, the ash is cold,
And all the lies you carefully retold
Have turned the softest corner of my mind
Into an iron wall you cannot break behind.
