  • 1 ham hock
  • 300g split green peas, soaked overnight
  • 2 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 celery stalks
  • Bay leaves, thyme
  • Black pepper

Let’s Cook — Step by Step

  1. Step 1 — Simmer ham hock in water 2 hours. Remove meat, shred.
  2. Step 2 — Cook vegetables in stock. Add drained peas.
  3. Step 3 — Simmer until peas dissolve into the soup.
  4. Step 4 — Stir in shredded ham.
  5. Step 5 — Season with pepper — it’s already salty enough from the ham.
