If you wear prescription glasses and ride a two-wheeler, you know the absolute panic of a rainy or winter morning. You put on your full-face helmet, pull down the visor, take one breath, and your glasses instantly fog up, turning you completely blind on a busy road.
1. The Dish Soap Trick (The Best DIY Method)
Take a tiny drop of liquid dish soap on your fingertip and gently rub it on the inside and outside of your glasses lenses. Let it sit for a minute, then take a clean microfiber cloth and polish it completely dry. Do not wash it with water!
2. Anti-Fog Sprays or Wipes
Invest in a dedicated anti-fog spray or anti-fog microfiber wipes. A quick spray and wipe before your commute will give you 24 hours of perfectly clear vision.
3. Position Your Helmet Vents Strategically
Ensure the chin vent on your full-face helmet is fully open. This directs a stream of fresh, cold air upward across the inside of the visor and your glasses.
4. Get an Anti-Reflective / Hydrophobic Coating
Ask your optician to add a “hydrophobic” or anti-fog coating to the lenses when you get a new pair of glasses.
