A sudden, violent fever in the midnight air,
Tearing away the neat, polite clothing of despair.
Your bare fingers trace the raw contours of my spine,
Erasing every safe, defensive, civil social line.
In this wild vortex of all-consuming, brilliant heat,
Two desperate, naked souls finally learn to meet.
