We all know the joke: you buy an expensive toy for your child, and they end up playing with the cardboard box it came in.
We all know the joke: you buy an expensive toy for your child, and they end up playing with the cardboard box it came in. Instead of throwing away all those delivery boxes from Amazon or Flipkart, turn them into an afternoon of creative, eco-friendly crafting.
1. The Living Room Fort
Take 2 or 3 large appliance boxes and tape them together. Use a box cutter to cut out square windows and a flap door. Let your kids paint the outside. Toss some pillows and fairy lights inside.
2. A Mini Car Wash for Hot Wheels
Take a shoebox and cut an entrance and exit hole on the short sides. Cut up an old kitchen sponge into long strips and glue them dangling from the “ceiling” of the box.
3. The Cardboard Aquarium
Take a medium-sized box and cut a large viewing window on one side. Have your child paint the inside completely ocean blue.
4. A DIY Pizza Oven
Turn a medium box upside down. Cut a large half-circle flap on the front to act as the oven door. Let your kids “bake” and serve you pizza all afternoon!
