The Quiet Architecture
Mother’s Sacrifice (அம்மா) — English
You gave away your youth so I could grow,
And hid the heavy tears you didn’t want to show.
Your wrinkled palms tell stories of a endless race,
Yet there is nothing but absolute grace upon your face.
If I have found a footing in this cruel town,
Or learned to stand when failures pull me down,
It is because you knelt in silent midnight prayer,
Shielding my fragile spirit from the world’s cold air.
