The Eternal Root
Mother’s Grace (அம்மா) — English
Long before I drew my initial, fragile breath,
You fought the silent, heavy battles of life and death.
You gave away your beauty to the winter’s harsh days,
To guide my clumsy steps through the world’s wilder ways.
No amount of gold can buy the shelter of your name,
No worldly, plastic crown can match your quiet claim.
You are the absolute sovereign of my darkest night,
The only star on my horizon that stays forever bright.
