Echoes in an Empty Room
Pure Pain (சோகம்) — English
The hardest part is not the sudden goodbye,
Or the hot, heavy tears that sting the eye.
It’s the phantom sound of your key in the door,
The clothes you left lying on the bedroom floor.
I am surviving the ghost of what we used to be,
Locked in a cell where I hold the key.
You moved on like rain into the sea,
Leaving a drought inside of me.
